Database update - Excel2DB

Excel2DB is the process that updates an Excel model to the database.

Prepare your personal computer for inserting model

Before you can insert any Excel model to Valuatum database, you have to make some preparations for your computer. These preparations are needed only once.
 
1. Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to your computer
Note: If you have already used Valuatum's ValuModels, you can move to the section 2 (Set Valuatum files needed to run the update process).

You can download and install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) from Sun Microsystems' pages: http://www.java.com.
 
2. Set Valuatum files needed to run the update process
1.    Download the valuatum.zip file.
2.    Extract the zip file to the root of C:\. Make sure you have 'Use folder names' option selected (see picture).
Notice that if you put this folder elsewhere (if you exract the zip file to somewhere else than C:), then the update macro in Excel does not work. So please use the given folder structure, or contact Valuatum and we will advice you how to change the folder path in Excel macro.
